If you're lonely you can talk to me.

My little angel of a camera is broken, so I'm not quite sure how to function at the moment. That, combined with the oddly unfamiliar California rain-streak has led me be without outfit pictures/outfits worth picturing.

In the meantime! I finally broke out of my lazy schedule of school, immediately popping in a Friend's DVD, and sleep long enough to jump back into the blogosphere, or whatever it's called. Muchos gracias to Liebemarlene Vintage for making a post about this really really super awesome Tumblr, Oh! You pretty things. It's filled with those perfect, softly lit 70's era pictures that are the highlights of my liiife, as well as other deacdes of inspiration. So, for all of you stuck in terrible January weather, enjoy. <3 >

ellen, oh ellen!

I have literally fallen in love with photographer Ellen von Unwerth! She captures all the fun of being female, and portrays the mysterious woman we all wish we could be. [Or maybe, for the lucky few, the mysterious woman you are.]

I love this one because a.) hello, Mickey Mouse?! and b.) this is what my hair would look like in a perfect world. But alas, I am stuck with mediocre curly. Oh and the outfit, DUH.

I lovelovelove anything and everything Zooey Deschanel. If I could trade lives with one person in the world it would proobably be her.

Love the pin up vibe and absolutely LOVE the leopard shoes paired with the yellow.

I would probably pay someone to let me lay in that field and take pictures..more or less with the Marie Antoinette inspired theme. [Ugh, remind me to do a post about my obsessions, please.]

Oh come on..Pikachu mittens? Adorable.

Bubble Pop Electric

I'm glad it's January 10th and, on average, 79 degrees here in Los Angeles. It's a good thing I hate the cold, because I really have no problem with this omnipresent sun.<3
Anyway, here are a few pictures of a photoshoot my friend and I had.

Elekid shirt; made by my friend, Benjamin! Hot pink Docs; Red Zone. Everything else; thrifted

I bought those Docs on a 100% whim and at first I was a little insecure about them..but honestly, I would marry them if I could. I don't think anyone I know actually approves of them, but oh well, I'll wear whatever I please!

Adieu.

every girl needs nana

NANA is a Japanese manga by Ai Yazawa about two girls who move to Tokyo at the same time, one is in a punk band and one is a super cute girl moving to live with her boyfriend. It is literally one of my favorite things in the world, not just because of the cheesy, soap-opera storyline, but because of the FASHION. Yazawa was a fashion school drop out, so she really, really knows her business. With every single turn of the page, I found myself being inspired. And not only by the plethora of accurate Vivienne Westwood drawings, although I would be lying if I told you that wasn't my favorite part.

Ps, sorry my posts have been so nerdy lately. I just can't help it!

Perhaps my favorite item in this series is the Vivienne Westwood Orb Lighter one of the character's always wears.

Makes me wish I had a need for a lighter. Or that I was filthy rich.

Happy 2010!

I can't remember for the life of me where I found these pictures..some Flickr blog with tons and tons of pictures from Paris in the 1960's. I love her hair, and I have the weirdest eyelash fetish..not to mention anything '1960's' or 'Paris' is an automatic win in my book.

New Year's is slightly overrated, it's so hard to have fun when there's so much pressure to, but it's alright. I'm currently sitting in my living room watching The Hangover because sleep is for wussies.

Oh well, I hope you all have a lovely 2010. My New Year's resolution is to actually get a hang of this..hum hum, we shall see. [:
Adieu.
